Emmerdale star Amy Nuttall has reunited with her husband Andrew Buchan following his affair with his co-star, Leila Farzad – with a series of strict rules he must follow, according to reports.
Broadchurch star Andrew, 44, was believed to have left his wife of 11 years, Amy, 41, for Leila, 39, after they met on the set of BBC crime drama, Better Together. And now Downton Abbey alum Amy is said to have forgiven him, as long as the couple follow seven rules as their reconciliation continues.
Last month, Andrew was spotted driving away from the family home with his wedding ring firmly intact. Now, the Sun reports the couple – who share two children – are giving things another go with a series of non-negotiable terms.
The seven rules include weekly date dates, full access to one another’s phones at all times, and Andrew is to have no contact with Leila at any time. If he is working away, he’s to check in via FaceTime.
They’re also said to be implementing the ‘777 dating rule’. A source told The Sun : “No one thought they could come back from this but Amy has decided to give it one more go.
“She doesn’t want to throw away over a decade together but at the same time she is far from a pushover. They will adopt the 777 approach which means every seven days you go on a date, every seven weeks you go away for the night and every seven months you go away on holiday just the two of you.”
OK! has contacted Amy and Andrew's reps for comment.
Amy was described as "heartbroken" after finding out about the 'affair', which saw Andrew move out of the family home and reportedly move in with Leila for a period of time.
“It has broken Amy, it has been so dreadfully sad to see,” a friend told MailOnline at the time. “She got wind that something was going on and she knew she had to say something so she confronted Andrew about it. It must have been the most difficult thing Amy has ever had to do.”
The Emmerdale star is said to have worked out Andrew's 'infidelity' after spotting a series of clues, including him buying a set of lingerie that wasn't for her. She also realised he had been staying in London hotels which were very close to home, and wondered why, before he confessed to falling for his co-star Leila.
Andrew shot to fame after a string of roles in acclaimed dramas, from the Bafta-winning Broadchurch to the smash hit, The Crown, where he played Andrew Parker Bowles. Amy stepped into the spotlight as the youngest understudy to ever play the lead of Christine in The Phantom of the Opera at just 17, before getting her break in Emmerdale as Chloe Atkinson and Ethel Parks in Downton Abbey.
