Anderson Cooper staffer tested for coronavirus following COVID-19 town hall

After producing a coronavirus town hall meeting on CNN, a staffer for Anderson Cooper has a potential case of COVID-19 and is being tested.

A message went out to all CNN staffers at their new Hudson Yards headquarters today, stating, “We want you to know that this afternoon we were made aware of a potential case of COVID-19 with a staff member of the AC 360 team.

“This person presented symptoms, contacted their doctor right away and has been advised to self-quarantine out of an abundance of caution.

“Similarly, we have asked all of the people that have been in close, prolonged contact with the AC 360 staffer, to also quarantine. We will be able to provide further guidance as soon as test results are available.

“The entire 20th floor and the control room that is used for the show will be deep cleaned tonight. We will update you with more information as we know it.”

A CNN rep did not comment when asked if Cooper himself has been quarantined.
