Ben Phillips pulls out of KSI and Logan Paul press conference over 'stab threat'

YouTube star Ben Phillips has pulled out of attending the press conference for KSI and Logan Paul’s upcoming boxing match after receiving stabbing threats.

The hugely popular YouTuber has over 4.39m subscribers and took to Twitter to break the news of his absence to his followers.

‘Myself and [brother] Elliot have decided not to go to the conference based in east London for the [KSI] v [Logan Paul] match down to the fact we’ve received a lot of threats basically stating we’re getting stabbed,’ he tweeted.

Ben then joked: ‘However I know [Logan Paul] is made of Kevlar skin… so he’s good.’

(Kevlar is a heat-resistant and strong synthetic fiber, just FYI).

Fans responded in support of Ben and his brother Elliot Giles.

One tweeted back: ‘Oh no that’s not very good Ben. They are just jealous of you and Elliot’s fame. Don’t let them get you down.’

While another wrote: ‘Wow some sad folk in this world. It’s the new threatening culture we live in, so sad.’

Then another said: ‘Let’s hope Logan is safe’.

KSI and Logan Paul confirmed last month they would face one another again after facing off for the first time last year – and now they’re holding another press conference, except this time it’s in East London.

The rematch is due to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Saturday 9 November.

The first match ended in a majority draw following six rounds of sparring – in an evening which also saw Logan’s brother Jake Paul go head to head with KSI’s brother Deji.
