Brad Pitt is helping families in need ahead of the holiday season. The Oscar-winning actor, 56, spent a day volunteering last week, where he handed out boxes of groceries to low-income families in South Central LA. In new photos [seen here] from the event, Brad is pictured hard at work while following CDC guidelines amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. He wore a protective mask and gloves as coronavirus cases continue to surge throughout the U.S.
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor was dressed down for the occasion. He wore baggy, distressed jeans and a black and red flannel, with a white T-shirt underneath. Brad, whose luscious blonde hair blew in the wind, stepped out in a pair of off-white sneakers. He dutifully completed his volunteer work before he took what appeared to be a smoke break with another worker.
The father of six is said to have been at the volunteer location for hours, where he chatted with fellow workers. Brad appeared to be in great spirits during the outing, as some photos captured the actor smiling and mingling with others. The spotting came as a surprise to some since Brad tends to keep a low profile. Despite attending awards shows and red carpets for his hit films, the Hollywood bachelor rarely makes public appearances — aside from his occasional motorcycle cruises around LA.
The sighting also came at the same time a new update emerged in Brad’s ongoing divorce and custody battle with ex-wife Angelina Jolie. As HollywoodLife previously reported back in August, Angelina filed court documents in LA requesting that the private judge overseeing their case, Judge John W. Ouderkirk, be replaced. Her reasoning for the filing was due to Ouderkirk’s alleged previous relationship with Brad‘s attorney, Anne C. Kiley.
The latest news in the case came on November 16, which resulted in a loss for Angelina. According to new court documents, obtained by People, her attempt to have Judge Ouderkirk removed from her court case with Brad was denied. HollywoodLife reached out to representatives for both Angelina and Brad for comment at the time.
