Brody Jenner thought he was in marital bliss before breaking up with Kaitlynn Carter.
“You and I are beyond happy, yes or no?” Jenner asked Carter while discussing criticism of their relationship in an exclusive clip from “The Hills: New Beginnings.”
“Yes,” Carter nodded.
“So I don’t care what other people think,” Jenner continued. “I don’t give a s–t about the, what they think and what our relationship’s like.”
But Jenner’s happiness was short-lived.
Carter, 31, and Jenner, 36, announced they split in August after one year of unofficially being husband and wife. While they had an elaborate wedding in 2018, their union was never legalized.
Carter was spotted on vacation in Italy with Miley Cyrus shortly after news of the breakup, with photos of her and the “Slide Away” singer, 26, kissing leading to Cyrus announcing her own split from husband Liam Hemsworth.
Carter and Cyrus’ relationship was no secret to Jenner though, and the trio remains friends.
The new couple gave Jenner a weed bouquet for his birthday.
“The Hills: New Beginnings” airs on MTV on Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
