Carol Kirkwood and Naga Munchetty are icons of breakfast television – a pair of friendly faces to start your day with each morning. The duo are seen to butt heads and have had their fair few onscreen tiffs but do the pair just have friendly banter?

Back in March after ending her first weather segment of the show, Carol forgot Naga’s name.

Carol said: “Back to you, Charlie and erm, Naga.”

Naga then swiftly replied: “Did you forget my name there, Carol? I think you forgot my name.”

Carol then jokes: “How could I forget your name Naga? But, yes, I did.”

Later on, in the show, Carol went on to forget Charlie Stayt’s name also.

Carol went on to present what the weather would be like later that week.

At the end of her weather report, Carol said: “It’s going to be chilly this weekend Naga and…”

She went on to say: “Charlie, it will even be cold actually.”

Naga then said to Charlie: “Do you know what? I think she almost forgot your name then.”

Carol later quipped back: “I would never forget Charlie’s name. Naga’s hmm maybe, but Charlie, never.”

Naga then quickly got up and walked off-camera saying: “I’m out of here. What’s the point? What is the point?”

The pair have previously put their differences aside when Carol was the victim of online trolls.

Back in 2016, when Carol was the target of online trolls, Naga took to her defence.

The troll wrote: “@BBCBreakfast is so much better without that ridiculous parasite @carolkirkwood!”

“Get rid of @BBCNaga @sallynugent and @LouiseMensch too.”

Naga hit back at the Trolls as they had tagged politician Louise Mensch in the post instead of BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin.

Naga wrote: “Since when did @LouiseMensch present with us ‘parasites’? You Twit. BLOCKED.”
