Chris Evans, 53, was left in shock on Monday morning after he found out his interviewee Claudia Hammond, had interviewed his Virgin Radio co-star, Vassos Alexander. He was chatting with Claudia but was stunned following the revelation she had spoken to Vassos for a show she was doing.
Why were you interviewing Vassos, what good could come of this?

The former BBC presenter couldn’t understand why and almost sounded slightly bitter that his co-star had been the centre of attention.
“The guest I’m interviewing, Claudia who’s brilliant, has interviewed you?” he sneered at Vassos.
“In a alleyway in central London,” his co-star nodded.
Claudia added: “It was in an alleyway near Soho.”

Vassos revealed the interview was very stop-start because of the building work going on nearby.
“We kept having to stop because people keep doing things like drill,”he laughed.
“We did, there was a lot of drilling work going on,” Claudia agreed, recalling the event.
But Chris still couldn’t comprehend why she had spoken to him at all.
“But why were you interviewing Vassos?!” he exclaimed.
“What good could come of this?!”
The occasional TV presenter explained that Vassos was part of an audience research initiative that she needed for the show she was doing.
“I was doing a show about step counting,” she revealed.

“About whether it was a good idea or not psychologically, or whether it might not get you to walk or run as far, in fact.”
“So I interviewed Vassos about how he uses his watch that counts all his steps.”
Chris interrupted: “And did you use the interview?”
To his disappointment, Claudia admitted they did.

“Yes, we had quite a lot of him actually!”
The host could be heard mumbling something under his breath, which listeners can only assume was another sly jibe directed at his co-star as all three giggled before Chris moved on to read out messages from his audience.
Chris may be excused from his snappiness, as he revealed he and his family had celebrated his son Noah’s 11th birthday at the weekend, where they held a party wth all his friends.
“Are you in the afterglow of an 11-year-old’s birthday party? No? Just me then!” he sighed, perplexed.
