Dave Myers gives health update on This Morning
Dave Myers has given an update on his recovery after gruelling chemotherapy left him unable to stand or walk.
The Hairy Biker, 65, had to learn how to walk again and underwent physiotherapy to prepare him for getting back on his beloved motorbike.
Now, Dave has reached a huge milestone in his recovery and has been able to ride his bike again.
Detailing the emotional moment in a new health update, the chef said: “It’s been hard but I’m not the only one and I’m getting through it and I’m back at work.

“I’ve had to learn to walk again and ride my bike again, and to get on my bike again with Kingy in the sunshine brought tears to both our eyes.”
His best pal Si King added in their interview with The Yorkshire Post: “He’s a proper scrapper and he’s on good form. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster for everybody who loves and cares about Dave.”
Later this month the Hairy Bikers will make an emotional return to the Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival.
Si was forced to appear at the festival alone last year following Dave’s cancer diagnosis so their return will be highly anticipated by fans.

Dave added to the aforementioned publication: “I had to miss it last year and I was gutted. There’s a lot of good feeling for the Bikers’ and if I don’t end up blubbing I’ll have a grin on my face from ear to ear.”
The courageous star has come on leaps and bounds since his diagnosis last year but he says it’s still a “work in progress”.
Speaking to The Times last month, he said: “I’ve had 30 lots of chemo, spread over three weeks and then a week off. It’s going the right way.”
The Northerner added that his doctors believe that can turn the last bit of his cancer “off with radiotherapy”.
