What will ‘Adele One Nigh Only’ consist of?

The special will be a mixture of concert a and an intimate interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“She played [some] new songs, and then she played [a few] of her classics,” Gayle King told Entertainment Tonight. “She sounds like the Adele that you know and love! I believe that nobody has a voice like hers. Nobody. And she did not disappoint.”

“When she arrived, Oprah went to go greet her, she saw what Adele was wearing and thought, ‘Hmm, I think I’m going to go change into something else,’” King said. “When you see the two of them together, I think you’ll understand. And she was already wearing something fabulous. But when you see the two of them together, you’ll know why she made the choice that she made.”

Adele’s divorce led to her ’30’ album

Adele filed for divorce from her husband Simon Konecki in 2019.

“The timeline the press have of my relationship, my marriage, is actually completely wrong,” Adele told British Vogue. “We got married when I was 30… and then I left. It just wasn’t… It just wasn’t right for me anymore. I didn’t want to end up like a lot of other people I knew. I wasn’t miserable miserable, but I would have been miserable had I not put myself first. But, yeah, nothing bad happened or anything like that.”

Their son, Angelo, had a hard time understanding why the two split.

“Obviously, Simon and I never fought over him or anything like that,” she said. “Angelo’s just like, ‘I don’t get it.’ I don’t really get it either. There are rules that are made up in society of what happens and doesn’t happen in marriage and after marriage, but I’m a very complex person. I’ve always let him know how I’m feeling from a very young age because I felt quite frazzled as an adult.”

So, Adele wrote several songs on the album to explain what had happened to her son.

“I just felt like I wanted to explain to him, through this record, when he’s in his 20s or 30s, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness,” she told the outlet.

Adele is currently co-parenting with her ex-husband and is already in a new relationship. The singer went public with her relationship with sports agent, Rich Pau,l earlier this year.
