The 37-year-old, who has been stepping in for Kym Marsh on her new breakfast show BBC Morning Live, teased a big announcement on Monday.

She made her comments online, in view of her 434,000 followers.

“Hi team, I feel like I have been off the radar for so long, I mean this week has been a week of weeks,” she began.

“I had busy busy days, but all really exciting days and unfortunately had to give the bad news that our tour is not going to be going forward this year because of Covid, which is really sad.

“But, the silver lining is that we’ve got an exciting announcement coming on Monday, and I promise you, you’re all going to be so happy, because I am buzzing, as they would say about it.

“I can’t wait for you guys to find out what it is on Monday.”

A caption on the post said that all would be revealed on The One Show at 7pm.

Reflecting on the past seven days, Janette went on to say: “But it’s been a week of mixed emotions.

“Wonderful highs and exciting things and then at the same time having to announce that our tour is not going forward, just shows how very serious is Covid is.”

The Strictly pro has had to postpone her tour yet again, sharing the “sad news” on the picture-sharing site on Friday.
