Kate Middleton and Prince William Are "Seriously Considering" a Big Move

Kate Middleton and Prince William might be making a major life change soon.

The Sun and The Daily Mail reported that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are considering swapping one country estate for another, which would bring them much closer to Queen Elizabeth's Windsor home.

According to The Sun, the Cambridges have been "eyeing up" properties in Windsor that would be suitable for their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The couple currently splits their time between Kensington Palace in London and their Norfolk country home, Anmer Hall, but are apparently "seriously considering" moving from their country estate.

"Anmer Hall made sense while William was a helicopter pilot in East Anglia and it was useful for Christmases at Sandringham, but it doesn't really work anymore," a source told Daily Mail. "It's a little too far away for weekends, but Windsor is a perfect compromise. They are eyeing up options in the area."

The Sun reports that William and Kate have been looking at Ford Belvedere in Windsor Great Park, which is owned by the Crown Estate, and is reportedly being leased to friends of the royals at the moment. The outlet reports, however, that royal aides have "rejected" the home.

The move would also bring them closer to the duchess's parents, who live 40 miles from Windsor in Bucklebury. Sources also told The Sun that a move to Windsor would help them take on more responsibilities within the royal family.
