Loose Women’s Linda Robson speaks out on marriage ‘rough patch’ claims

Linda Robson admits to being ‘envious’ of Pauline Quirke

Linda Robson slapped down claims she had confided in her pals about “marriage problems” in her relationship with husband Mark Dunford.

It was reported that the couple had “hit a rough patch” but “managed to work through it”, a source told The Sun.

Linda has now branded the claim “a load of rubbish”.

She told the aforementioned publication: “We’re still living together. We both love our kids more than anything else in the world, obviously you have a few hiccups in every marriage.

“We’ve been married 33 years so it’s not going to be all plain sailing, but we’re still together at the moment.”

The Loose Women star compared the claims to continuous reports of a feud with her Birds of a Feather co-star Pauline Quirk.

She assures that Pauline is her “best mate” and has been since they were children.

The 65-year-old explained: “It really upsets me every time I meet someone who goes, ‘Oh you fell out’.

“No, we haven’t fallen out. I see her all the time, she comes to my house, I go to her house. And we’re really good friends, and we’ll always be really good friends. And Lesley [Joseph] as well.”

The trio have worked together on the BBC comedy since 1989. Linda and Pauline play sisters Tracey and Sharon Stubbs while Lesley plays their neighbour Dorien.

Linda and Mark married in 1990 and share two children: Louis, 31, and Bobbie, 27.

Linda is also a mother to her daughter Lauren who she had with her previous partner, Tony Tyler.

Speculation of her “marriage problems” were heightened when Linda took a solo trip to Majorca.

Linda had initially planned to go on holiday with Lauren and her grandchildren, but those plans changed when Lauren decided she wanted a “little family holiday” with her husband and two children.

Speaking about her trip on Loose Women, Linda said: “I got the right hump, so I booked a flight to Majorca, on my own.

“It was lovely. Really lovely. The only one I missed was the dog, who had to stay at home.”
