Louise Minchin has been a part of the BBC for almost 20 years with the presenter initially starting at the BBC World Service. Since then Louise while she has become known for her role on BBC Breakfast she has also presented on BBC News as well as on The One Show as a guest presenter.

Who is the BBC Breakfast presenter married to?

Louise is married to restaurateur husband, David Minchin, having tied the knot in 1998.

Louise prefers to keep her family life out of the spotlight, although she has previously given insights into her life away from the screen.

Back in 2013, the BBC Breakfast presenter spoke of her marriage, saying: “David and I got married on June 6, 1998, in a tiny Hampshire church – we only squeezed in about 50 people.

“Other guests sat outside with a picnic during the service and cheered when we came out.”

Louise and David live in Chester with their two daughters Mia and Scarlett.

Earlier this year, Louise spoke of how her family kept her positive amid lockdown.

She stood Good Housekeeping: “I feel lucky. I’ve got a home that I love, I’ve got a family that I love that I’m spending really good quality time with, and I’ve got a job I love that I’m still able to do.

“What I try and do is look at the positives. Sure, I would love to go walking in the Welsh hills, but I can’t go and do that, but I’m allowed to still go walking. I try and spin the positive, as I’m a glass-half-full kind of person.

“On Breakfast as well, we’ve got some amazing stories, and we try and bring the positive as well.”

Louise first joined the BBC as a freelance presenter and journalist in 2001.

Since then Louise has become a well-known face on our screens alongside fellow presenter Dan Walker on BBC Breakfast.

Talking to The Independent in 2009, Louise spoke of why she chose to pursue a career within Journalism.

At the time she said: “It was always what I wanted to do. There’s never really been anything else.

“I went travelling after university, and became the translator in Chile for Operation Raleigh, as I could speak the language.

“I did lots of interviews, and suddenly realised that I wanted to be the person on the radio asking the questions.”

Having presented on the BBC morning show for almost two decades, Louise also spoke about her future on the show.

She explained to The Mirror: “Often people ask, ‘What other job would you like to do?’ Well, do you know what? I love this job.

“Should I make you a promise? I won’t do another 20 years!”
