In a new interview, Mary Berry, 85, revealed as a young girl she liked piglets so much she would cuddle one in bed while she slept. She added it would always be the runt of the litter who she snuggled up to.
Take it to bed with me

“I was known to swaddle one and take it to bed with me,” she explained.
“Only the runt, the little one that we had to feed from a bottle.
“There’s nothing dirty about a pig, don’t believe otherwise,” Mary added to Radio Times Magazine.
The chef also spoke of the tough time she had a child during food rationing.
The animals who she lived with on the farm with, would often be put to “slaughter” and the children would have to “accept it”.
No parts of the animal could go to waste as in those days it would be considered almost criminal.
She continued: “Dad was very hands-on, we’d have the carcass back and he’d cut it up.
“We even made sausages, and of course nothing was wasted. It was just what we accepted.”
Although the star appeared on Bake Off alongside a number of sugary confections, as a young girl there was rarely much sugar in the Berry household.
Due to rationing, it was difficult to obtain and therefore her mum would often drink tea and coffee without sugar so they were able to have the odd sweet treat.
She recalled: “We had strict rationing, very little sugar.
“So Mum said at the beginning of the war [when Mary was four] that if we didn’t take sugar in tea and coffee there would be the odd pudding.”

It comes as Mary was recently shocked to discover her name was being used to promote products including CBD oil and face cream online.
She told Watchdog presenter Matt Allwright, that she began receiving dozens of emails from companies.
Mary said: “We began to get emails – ‘There’s a cream and you recommend it. If you say it’s good, we thought it was worth spending the money’.
“I was just absolutely shattered people could be conned.”
Another product endorsed unknowingly by the former Bake Off presenter was a product linked to helping chronic pain.
The TV chef believes her name was attached to the brand because of a former condition she suffered as a child.
She continued: “I had Polio when I was a child and because I’ve got a bit of a wonky hand, they think it’s arthritis and perhaps this is the cure for arthritis.”
Although Facebook took down the hoax adverts, many Bake Off fans had already purchased the products.
