Levi Davis’ passport has reportedly been found in Barcelona, where the rugby star was last seen three weeks ago.
Levi, 24, was last heard from on 29 October, with his rugby team later issuing a plea for information about his whereabouts after he was last seen at The Old Irish Pub.
Now, three weeks on from when Levi was last heard from, his passport is said to have been found a few days ago.
In light of his passport being found, Levi’s mother has grown increasingly concerned about her son’s welfare.
“This is a very worrying development because you cannot do anything in Barcelona without a passport,” Julie Davis told MailOnline.
“Besides travel, you cannot book into a hotel or even rent somewhere without one. We know that his phone and two bank accounts have been untouched since he disappeared and so this is another blow.
“There have been a few sightings of someone looking like Levi near La Boqueria Market and the Arc de Triomf monument over the last week but sadly we are not sure it's him.”
Julie went on to say that despite the concerning development, she remains “hopeful” that Levi will come home and has thanked the Spanish authorities for their help.
The news about Levi’s passport comes after the Celebs Go Dating and X Factor star is thought to have been seen on two separate occasions since he was reported missing.
Levi’s family received a tip that he had been seen near Barcelona’s Arc de Triom in Placa Sant Agusti Vell.
In addition to this, the same unnamed witness claimed to have seen Levi near the La Boqueria Market a week earlier, which is around a six-minute walk from the Old Irish Pub, where the last confirmed sighting was on 29 October.
Following the news of Levi’s disappearance, Shaughna Phillips – who met Levi on Celebs Go Dating two years ago – described the situation as “horrific”.
"It's horrific. I can't even imagine what his family are going through…" Shaughna told OK!, adding that she saw Levi's family on ITV's Good Morning Britain on Tuesday 8 November, where his mum shared her fears that he has "deteriorated".
Reality star Shaughna continued: "It's just terrifying. There's absolutely no kind of explanation for it. Especially with adults as well. I feel like when it's kids, and you hear 'Oh, they've been gone for a few hours' or a date – when you hear he's been gone over a week, it's really scary.
"Fingers crossed he just needed some some time alone and he'll let us know he's okay. Obviously I'm praying for his family."
