Molly-Mae Hague desperate to be more like Stacey Solomon as shes sick of being mum-shamed

Molly-Mae Hague has built a successful career through sharing the ins and outs of her life social media, but being so active online has come at a price for the ex-Love Island star.

The 24 year old, who appeared on the ITV2 show in 2019, boasts 7.8 million followers on Instagram and 1.83 million YouTube subscribers, making her one of the most successful influencers to date.

However, having so many followers can prove difficult when they've all got an opinion, and Molly-Mae is said to be struggling with the influx of negativity she's received since becoming mum to daughter Bambi in January.

The mum-of-one, who shares Bambi with fiancé Tommy Fury, 24, has constantly come under fire for her parenting and most recently, trolls have taken issue with how often she travels without her daughter. A recent trip to the French Alps proved to be controversial on Instagram, with many pointing out it was Molly's ninth trip of 2023.

The 24 year old has become "sick" of being mum-shamed, according to a source close to the star, and is now turning to other successful 'mum-fluencers' for advice and tips on keeping on the right side of her followers. One fellow Instagram star who has caught Molly's eye is mum-of-five Stacey Solomon, who has built an incredible social media following thanks to her relatable family content.

"Molly-Mae is sick of getting mum-shamed just for living her life," the source told Heat magazine. "But at the same time, she knows she has to play the game and fix whatever is not working with her brand. She really looks up to Stacey and has reached out for advice – she wants to know how she can get the trolls off her back."

Stacey, 34, and Molly first connected on Instagram earlier this year, with Stacey commenting on Molly's photographs and even asking her to help her recreate Molly's iconic Love Island bun hairstyle.

Stacey appeared to share her support for Molly under one photo of the Love Islander and her baby daughter, which received numerous negative comments due to Bambi being outside in the cold, with Stacey simply commenting "adorable" amongst all the hate.

The insider added: "Molly-Mae's finding all the cruel comments quite overwhelming. But she really values Stacey's support. She just thinks Stacey has the perfect balance of being a successful influencer, but also staying relatable. For now, she's going to run things by people she trusts – including Stacey."

OK! has contacted representatives for Molly-Mae Hague for comment.

Stacey is mum to Zachary, 15, Leighton, 11, Rex, four, Rose, two, and baby Belle, and boasts an impressive five million followers on Instagram.

Despite initially finding fame on The X Factor and TV shows such as I'm A Celebrity, Stacey's Instagram account has proven to be her most successful venture to date, with it even landing her new TV opportunities and brand deals.
