Iconic ’90s fitness instructor Mr Motivator has announced the devastating news that his granddaughter, Hadassah, has died following a five-day battle against meningitis. The fitness star, 69, whose real name is Derrick Evans, confirmed that she had died in the early hours of this morning.

He added that the 12-year-old died in Antigua, where she lived with her mother.

In a statement, the GMTV star told of his heartbreak at his grandchild’s death.

He also urged people to tell their loved ones how much they mean to them.

Evan’s statement read: “It’s not meant to happen like this. The circle of life dictates that parents and grandparents go first.

“You are not supposed to bury your child or your grandchild.”

He went on: “We have to fight on no matter what.

“I want to remind everyone to tell your loved ones every day how much you love them,” he ended.

It is believed that the star’s wife has flown out to Antigua to be with the family.

Evans will join her as soon as possible, PA reported.
