MrBeast star Chris Tyson is getting candid about a personal health journey they’ve been undergoing for several months.
On Wednesday, Chris, whose Twitter bio says they go by “any pronouns,” revealed they have begun “life-saving” hormone therapy. Addressing the political controversy surrounding gender-affirming medical care right now, Chris said:
“The hurdles people have to jump through to get life-saving gender-affirming healthcare in a 1st world country is wild to me. Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies.”
If you’re not aware, there are currently several states trying to ban gender-affirming care right now, especially for children, such as Indiana, Idaho, and Kansas.
The announcement was first made on social media after a fan posted two side-by-side photos featuring Chris before and after beginning treatment. The fan wrote, “bro wtf happened,” but Chris wasn’t deterred by the rude reaction, responding:
“HRT, and it’s only been 2 months”
In another tweet, Chris said they’re “genuinely so glad” to be able to help teach people “what HRT is and how it CAN and HAS helped so many people.” The influencer noted:
“I was super nervous to be public about this bc I’ve always been so private when it comes to this, but seeing conversations started bc of me is amazing.”
The parent of one also commented on how much their appearance has changed in just a few short weeks, writing later:
“Pre hrt, my hairline and facial shape has already started to change so the photo that’s being used for articles doesn’t even look the same. The amount of body positivity I’ve gotten in just 2 months is insane.”
Love to hear it!
To prove just how incredible this healthcare has been for the YouTube personality, Chris said HRT has made “everything so worth it.” Aw! Sharing a recent photo of them on a boat, they concluded:
“It’s never too late, to start being yourself.”
So, so lovely!
MrBeast was quick to send his friend support, replying to one tweet:
“Gotchu“
It’s unclear if Chris is still married to Katie Tyson. They wed in 2018 and share a 2-year-old son, Tucker, together. We are wishing Chris well on this health journey! It takes a lot of bravery to speak up about something that has become so politicized right now, but hopefully, by sharing their story, they can help educate some of their fans! Reactions?
