Naga Munchetty, 46, has revealed she is not a “sun lounger” type of person, as she admitted her honeymoon in 2007 to the tropical paradise of Mauritius was one of the “most boring holidays” she has ever been on. The BBC Breakfast star met husband James Haggar several years before they tied the knot 14 years ago.

Naga has now said she hated having to stay on the beach after a bad accident on her second day away.
“I’m not a sunlounger person. I don’t do that. So – this sounds awful – one of the most boring holidays I had was my honeymoon.
“And not for the reasons you may think,” she told Alan Carr on his Life’s a Beach podcast.
Naga recalled how she ended up stuck on the beach throughout her whole honeymoon, after she cut her leg on barnacles in the sea.
Under doctor orders, she wasn’t able to get the cut anywhere near water for the rest of the holiday.
She said: “The honeymoon side was fine. It was all good.
“I got into the sea, hung onto the pontoon and there were barnacles on the post underneath.
“I didn’t realise and slashed my leg. I decided not to tell anyone.
“Did my water ski round for about 15 to 20 minutes. I came off and blood was gushing from my leg.
“I had to have little mini stitches in it and couldn’t shower the leg for the rest of the honeymoon.
“Couldn’t do any more water sports so literally had to sit on a beach or go to the tea plantation.
“I was a bit bored. And read a lot,” she added.

Naga and James visited her father’s home country for the breakaway and Alan was happy to hear she avoided any nasty encounters with sharks whilst she was on holiday.
Alan told her: “You know what I’m thinking? This is me because I have a real shark fear.
“Blood in the water. Shark thinking, ‘Mmm tasty meal’.”
“I think we’re alright in Mauritius. A shark didn’t get me so there wasn’t a shark there,” Naga quipped back.
It comes after the BBC presenter admitted to her BBC Radio 5 Live co-host Nihal Arthanayake that the couple doesn’t celebrate Valentines Day despite their long-term romance.
She said on air: “I never do! I sound quite forceful when I say that, don’t I? I have quite strong opinions!”
Naga and the TV director James enjoyed their first date at a pool club – a place both the snooker fans loved.
The couple do not share any children, but are parents of sorts, as they are said to own two Siamese cats named Kinky and Ronnie.
