All the women in Rod Stewart's life managed to put their differences aside at his daughter Kimberly's 40th birthday last month, and even posed for a picture together.
And his wife Penny Lancaster, 48, has now opened up about how she manages to be friendly with Rod's exes after the snap sent fans into meltdown.
The former model admitted she had to "show kindness" to Rod's former flames when they first got together after realising they were part of the package.
Speaking about the situation on Lorraine today, Penny explained: "When I met Rod, I realised it wasn't just us, it was the children, the ex-wives.
"I had to show that I was genuine, show kindness, and it works."
Rod has two sons with Loose Women panelist Penny, who he married in 2007, called Alastair, 12, and Aiden, eight.
The picture showed Penny and Rod alongside his three exes Alana Stewart, Kelly Emberg and Rachel Hunter.
For some it may have been an awkward situation, but Rod, who has stayed on good terms with four out of five of his baby mamas, partied away at Kimberley's celebrations in Los Angeles.
Sir Rod's first marriage was to Alana Hamilton, 74, which lasted from 1979 to 1984, is far left in the picture. She is mum to model Kimberley and Sean, who is a musician.
The singer's second marriage was to model Rachel Hunter, 49 – far right in the cosy snap – from 1990 to 2006 and they also had two children named Renée, now a dancer, and Liam Stewart, a professional ice hockey player.
Inbetween his first and second marriage, he also fathered a daughter called Ruby Stewart with girlfriend at the time Kelly Emberg, 60, who is sandwiched between Rachel and Rod in the picture.
