PewDiePie Just Got Married and It Was Basically a YouTube Royal Wedding

And just like that, another summer wedding is in the books. This time, vlogger and video game enthusiast PewDiePie aka Felix Kjellberg got married to his longtime girlfriend, Marzia Bisognin, an “internet personality” and former YouTuber.

For the uninitiated, PewDiePie was the biggest YouTuber on the platform for a while. Seriously, he was bigger than James Charles! Bigger than Emma Chamberlain! Bigger than Jackie Aina! Now he only (lol) has 99.5 million subscribers, so he’s not number one anymore but is still hanging in there. He’s also an extremely controversial YouTuber, having used racial slurs and making anti-Semitic “jokes”, but millions of people still comment, like, and subscribe, so, yeah.

Now that you know a little more about this guy and his video game vlogs, you can sort of understand why The Daily Dot said this wedding was as momentous as the royal wedding for YouTube.

And this morning, PewDiePie and Marzia, who goes by Marzia Pie on Instagram, shared photos from their August 19 wedding. PewDiePie wrote, “We are married!!! I’m the happiest I can be. I’m so lucky to share my life with this amazing woman.”

And Mariza wrote this novel of a caption:

Yesterday, the 19th of August – after exactly 8 years since we met – we celebrated our wedding with our closest friends and family. It was the most beautiful day, which I will treasure forever. I am so thankful for all the people that made time to attend the event and helped us celebrate our marriage. I feel like I’m the luckiest person and I’m so full of love. Incredibly ecstatic to be able to call Felix my husband for the rest of our lives. 👰🏼 ❤️🤵🏼 📸 @jessicakobeissi

Unlike some YouTube marriages, this one seems legit, so congrats to them.
