Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan, 56, has addressed an event he attended that was selling “anti-Piers Morgan” tickets, which offered attendees a “private” space away from the ITV star and advanced warning ahead of him entering the building. The TV presenter explained that he wanted to meet his “anti” fans, but was told by the event organisers that he couldn’t in case it induced “Anti-Piers anxiety”.

After arriving at the Birmingham-based arena, the TV host revealed that he was stunned to find tickets for sale for people who didn’t want to listen to him.
In his column for Mail Online, he wrote: “I learned that organisers had deployed an interesting marketing strategy, selling special tickets to people who despise me so they didn’t have to listen to my pearls of wisdom.”
The outspoken media personality went on to reveal that the ticket warned its owners before the star entered the building to give his talk.
He explained that they would instead be able to attend their own “private session” away from the former newspaper editor’s presence.
The Life Stories host went on to add that the “Anti-Piers” tickets had been heavily discounted by £30 per ticket, assuring his anti-fans that he wouldn’t “profit” from their sale.
However, despite the apparent demand, the ITV presenter revealed that the event only managed to sell less than a handful.
He wrote: “It transpired that only two of these tickets were actually bought, whereas tickets to share the same airspace as me quickly sold out.”
Continuing to poke fun at the bizarre turn of events, the star explained that he was interested in learning more and to meet his “super on-fans”, despite the nature of the ticket itself.
But after expressing his interest, the star revealed that he was denied access to meet the ticket holders.
“‘We can’t tell you,’ came the response, ‘it might trigger their Anti-Piers anxiety'”, Piers wrote.
Yesterday it was revealed that Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis, 49, is stepping in to present GMB alongside Susanna Reid.
The financial journalist has been a contributor to ITV for years, often appearing on This Morning to give financial tips to viewers.
Announcing the news on Twitter, GMB described Martin as “the most trusted man in Britain”.
He will be sat alongside Susanna from Monday until June 30.
Martin retweeted GMB’s post in view of his 1.1 million followers and added: “For 15yrs I loved answering questions on @GMB, now I’m stoked to get a chance to ask ’em, as guest presenter; both on key consumer issues eg scams, plus I’m up for holding power to account on all issues.
“I always play with a straight bat, but that doesn’t stop me swinging it hard.”
However, Martin went on to clarify that he has no plans to host GMB full time, insisting that his role is only a guest hosting stint.
He wrote in a separate tweet: “PS and just to clarify, I’m excited and honoured to be guest presenter, but definitely not looking for the full time job.
“I’ve other important commitments, never mind I like my sleep too much.”
Uncertain whether his message was clear enough, Martin tweeted again about the nature of his role, highlighting it’s temporary nature after seeing reports claiming he was going to replace Piers.
