Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are settling into their new lives with their son Archie, and future daughter come summertime.
In a new photo shared by photographer Misan Harriman, who captured the royal couple’s gorgeous Valentine’s Day pregnancy announcement last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are seen embracing their almost two-year-old son Archie Mountbatten Windsor for a moving family photo. In the image, Prince Harry hugs Meghan from behind as she holds Archie in her arms. The duchess wore a flowing, floral printed maxi dress for the occasion, while opting to wear her hair in lush flowing waves and her signature middle part.
“What wonderful news to celebrate on International Women’s Day!” wrote Harriman alongside the Instagram post. “Congratulations my friends, and welcome to the #girldad club H ❤️”
Harriman’s post follows the couple revealing the news that they are expecting a baby girl in a matter of months. They shared the announcement during their anticipated sit down interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday. During the two-hour televised special, the couple opened up about why they ultimately decided to leave royal life behind, how they’re adjusting to life in the States, and even shared another black-and-white glimpse of Archie, this time playing at the beach with his parents and with their two pups in tow.
Meghan also gave insight into her son’s impressive vocabulary and the few adorable phrases he’s been picking up at home.
“He’s on a roll … in the last couple of weeks it’s been ‘hydrate’ which is just hysterical,” said Meghan speaking of her son’s first few words. “And whenever anybody leaves the house he says ‘drive safe!” added Harry.
