Princess Diana would be distraught by William and Harrys feud, expert says

Princess Diana would be “distraught” at the state of the relationship between her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, royal expert Jennie Bond has claimed.

Jennie, 71, who invited OK! into her home earlier this year, said she also believes Diana, who died 25 years ago, would have “sorted out” the feuding siblings.

Speaking to GB News Weekend Breakfast, Jennie, a former BBC Royal correspondent, said: “I think she’d be distraught that the boys are still feuding. But I think somehow she’d have got them together and just sorted it all out.”

Jennie went on: “Harry is ‘the Spencer’ of the two of them. He is fiery, vulnerable, fragile. Very much in the way Diana was."

She continued: "He is complex like Diana was. Likable. Loveable. It is difficult. He’s forging his own way much like his mother did. He is the troubled one of the two.”

Commenting on the legacy of the late Princess she added: “Her legacy has continued. When we see William, 40, and Harry , 37, out doing their very different things they remind me so much of her light and her work and I think that’s one reason why her light burns so brightly still.”

Jennie’s comments come as the 25 year anniversary approaches of Diana’s death and William and Harry are set to be spend the anniversary apart.

The two sons of the former Princess of Wales are reportedly set to mark the 25th anniversary of Princes Diana death apart.

It comes after the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex agreed to end public commemoration, but instead have chosen to mark the occasion with their own families instead.

Reports also indicate that the pair have not spoken since they put aside their strained relationship to unveil a statue of their late mother last summer. The statue stands in the grounds of Kensington Palace, Diana's former London home.

In 2017, the brothers came together to remember their mother on the 20th anniversary of her death.

The pair helped create a memorial garden at Kensington Palace and also took part in a documentary while loaning belongings to an exhibition.

The Princess of Wales tragically passed away on 31 August, 1997 – the anniversary of tragic event will take place on this coming Wednesday.
