Rebekah Vardy is preparing to take Coleen Rooney to court over her claims that she was selling stories to newspapers.
Coleen made the accusations on Instagram, alleging that she set up a plot to expose her fellow WAG.
Rebekah has denied all the allegations and has called on lawyers to find out who had access to her Instagram and when.
But now sources close to the WAG have claimed that she is so sure of her innocence that she is ‘prepared to see Coleen in court if necessary’.
‘If Becky needs to prove to Coleen and the world that she hasn’t done anything wrong then she is prepared to see Coleen in court if necessary,’ the insider told The Sun.
Rebekah and Coleen became pals as their husbands played alongside each other for England.
However, on Wednesday morning Coleen sent shockwaves through the media when she alleged Rebekah had been selling fake stories about the Rooneys to newspapers.
Coleen wrote that she had set up a sting in order to discover who was selling the stories about her and the Rooney family by setting up fake stories and only giving access to her stories to one person – Rebekah.
‘It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however, I had to,’ she wrote.
‘Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.
‘I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s…… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’
Pals of Coleen’s however insist that Coleen had ‘had enough of Becky badgering her for the evidence’.
‘She’s said she is more than happy to co-operate but has clashed so badly with Becky that she’s decided she will only release the rest of what she has when Becky’s lawyers make the request,’ the friend told The Sun.
‘She won’t deal with her and is happy to never speak to her in person again.’
