Sam Fox has revealed she's been in tears as doctors have found a lump in her throat in a terrifying cancer scare.
The former glamour model, who got engaged to girlfriend Linda Olsen in 2020, explained that she's scheduled in to get surgery after a 10mm growth was found between her vocal cords.
The 56 year old opened up to The Sun about the growth, sharing that she visited Harley Street after suffering from issues with her singing voice.
“When I saw the growth on the screen, I thought: ‘Oh God, that’s not normal,'" she told the publication. "It looked very big. You think about throat cancer straight away."
Sam said that doctors couldn't be sure if it is anything to be concerned about or not, but added they need to "get that out as soon as possible".
Confessing that she's "cried a lot" since the news, Sam said her fiancée Linda Olsen was with her for support. She shared: “I was in shock. My fiancée Linda was with me, and broke down in tears."
Sam continued: “The doctor said the growth is in a precarious position, so even if it turns out to be a benign polyps, scarring is very much a possibility."
“I just pray everything will be OK," she added.
Last year, Sam spoke to OK! about how she's still honouring her late partner Myra Stratton as she prepares to marry Linda.
Sam was with Myra for 16 years and lost her to cancer in 2015 – and she knows she and Linda have her blessing.

"Her name comes up most days and there’s still a picture of Myra and me in the house," she explained.
Sam went on: "Linda’s not a jealous person. I was with Myra for 16 years and you can’t be with somebody for that long if you weren’t close and you didn’t love that person.
"So of course I think about her, and Linda’s lovely about her."
Sam added: "During the time Myra was ill, she always said, 'I really want you to meet someone when I’m gone as I know you’d hate to be on your own.'
"I was only in my forties when Myra got ill, I was still young and had a dream of marrying."
