Susanna Reid has revealed that she would be targeted by trolls because of her working relationship with Piers Morgan, which would leave her in tears.

The mum-of-three, who paid tribute to Captain Sir Tom Moore, opened up about her initial days of working with Piers and how trolls would target her after he blocked them.

The abuse would get too much for the brunette beauty and she would come home and burst into tears.

The 50 year old told The Times: "I used to get a lot of targeted abuse because someone didn't like what the person sitting next to me said."

Susanna went on to compare her work enviroment with Piers, 55, to Ben Shepherd, 46, who she works with later on in the week.

She continued: "Ben Shepherd is much more like a warm hug, whereas Piers Morgan is like sitting next to a picushion.

"We do fight like Punch and Judy, verbally. We're sparring all the time."

The journalist previously explained she had to take a step back from social media after it left her at "breaking point".

In January, the presenter, who sent love to Meghan Markle after he miscarriage, was forced to hit back at criticism for showing off her cleavage on an episode of Good Morning Britain.

She made headlines for wearing a "sexy" dress while in conversation with Home Secretary Priti Patel.

Sharing a screenshot of one of the headlines, Susanna wrote: "SHOCKER! Woman has cleavage. Realised it is STILL before watershed so here's a nice covered up version."

Her fans were quick to jump to her defence, with one loyal follower writing: "Wear what you want! If people have a problem then I'm concerned for them."
