‘The Bachelorette’ Alum J.P. Rosenbaum Diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome

J.P. Rosenbaum has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome.

The 42-year-old The Bachelorette alum and wife Ashley Herbert both took to their Instagram Stories to reveal that J.P. was diagnosed with the rare autoimmune disorder.

“JP was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome yesterday,” Ashley captioned her Instagram Stories, alongside a photo of J.P. “He is in treatment and doing well. It may be a long road to full recovery, but we are so grateful to everyone that has helped us get to a speedy diagnosis and treatment.”

According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Guillain-Barré syndrome is a rare autoimmune disorder, in which a person’s immune system can cause damage to the nerves, weaken the muscles and some times cause paralysis.

J.P. and Ashley met during season seven of The Bachelorette in 2011 and married in December 2012. The two share kids Fordham and Essex.
