The One Show fans cringe over Jennifer Aniston's 'attitude' to host

‘She doesn’t like the presenter at all!’ The One Show viewers cringe over Jennifer Aniston’s ‘attitude’ towards host Jermaine Jenas as they brand interview ‘awkward’

The One Show viewers were left cringing  during Wednesday’s episode as they called out guest Jennifer Aniston’s ‘attitude’ towards host Jermaine Jenas.

The Friends star, 52, has joined fellow actress Reese Witherspoon, 45, on the show via video call to discuss the new series of their Apple TV+ programme The Morning Show with Jermaine, 38, and co-host Zoe Ball, 50.

However, fans branded the chat ‘awkward’ and called out Jennifer’s reaction to Jermaine’s line of questioning, with one claiming the star ‘doesn’t like the presenter at all!’

Not impressed: The One Show viewers were left cringing during Wednesday’s episode as they called out guest Jennifer Aniston’s ‘attitude’ towards host Jermaine Jenas

During the chat, Jennifer was asked about going behind the scenes of a real life TV show to get inspiration for her own show.

The actress appeared somewhat distracted as she replied: ‘I learned the slow burn that it is. It’s a very vampire state of life and mind that you guys live in. Everybody comes alive in the middle of the night and it’s a slow-moving train.’

She went on: ‘I got there at five in the morning and the hallways were quiet and people are just slowly waking up and then all of a sudden, the train starts moving and it gets crazier and crazier. It’s utter chaos.’

She was then interrupted by Jermaine who proceeded to ask Reese a question while alluding to Jennifer not being a morning person.

He said: ‘Reese I’ve got to be honest with you Jennifer’s pretty much sold it to me that she’s not a morning person.’

To which an alarmed Jennifer responded: ‘Did I sell that to you?’, with Jermaine remarking: ‘A little bit, a little bit.’

Not looking too impressed, Jennifer then added: ‘Did I get a good deal?’ as Jermain awkwardly laughed the moment off.

Keen to move the conversation along, Jermaine returned to her pal, asking: ‘So what about you Reese?’

Tension: Not looking too impressed, Jennifer then added: ‘Did I get a good deal?’ as Jermain awkwardly laughed the moment off

To which she replied: ‘No, I’m definitely a morning person. Jen and I talk about this all the time. I’m the morning person and she’s more of a night person.

‘So it actually works out because I do kind of the early morning scenes and then by four o’clock I’m toast.

‘And then Jen starts around 11 and 12 and then she can do the night scenes because I can’t even think straight past 4pm.’

Watching the scenes unfold, fans quickly took to Twitter to comment on the ‘awkward’ interview and Jennifer’s ‘attitude’ towards the former footballer.

Last month a trailer for the hotly anticipated second season of the show aired, ahead of its premiere on September 17.

In the teaser Jennifer is back as news anchor Alex Levy, who tries to forge her own path after leaving her TV network UBA.

Meanwhile, Reese’s Bradley Jackson tries to lead the morning show in the wake of a bombshell investigation about corruption and harassment at the network.

Moving on: Keen to move the conversation along, Jermaine returned to her pal, asking: ‘So what about you Reese?’, To which she replied: ‘No, I’m definitely a morning person!’

The clip also shows reporters grappling with the news of 2020, captured figuring out how to handle reporting on the pandemic, racial injustice and the #MeToo movement.

Bradley is seen throwing her weight around, saying: ‘In case you forgot, I’m the whistle-blower. I’m going to get everything I want.’

The teaser also reveals the arrival of new characters Julianna Margulies, Greta Lee, and Hasan Minhaj.

And in one particularly sharp moment, Lee’s character Stella Bak tells Aniston: ‘Nine months ago you opened a door and you need to walk through it now.’
