The Raconteurs’ ‘Help Us Stranger’ Debuts At No. 1 On Billboard 200

The Raconteurs have grabbed their first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with Help Us Stranger.

Help Us Stranger, which was released via Third Man Records on June 21, debuted in the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart for the week ending June 27.

The album garnered 88,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S., of which 84,000 were in album sales, according to Nielsen Music.

The Raconteurs previously reached the Billboard 200 top 10 twice, with Consolers of the Lonely in 2008 and Broken Boy Soldiers in 2006 both peaking at No. 7.

Help Us Stranger‘s debut unit sales was driven largely by a concert ticket/sale redemption offer with The Raconteurs’ summer tour, as well as solid sales at independent music stores and strong vinyl LP sales of the album, Billboard said.

Meanwhile, Lil Nas X debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with his debut LP 7. The eight-track LP includes his recent hit single “Old Town Road,” both in its original form and the Billy Ray Cyrus-featured version.
