Kym Marsh, 45, has talked about how her husband, Army Major Scott Ratcliff, 34, was called away two days after their wedding. The couple tied the knot in October of this year.
The two got married at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst.
In December, they jetted off for a romantic honeymoon at Sandals Grenada Resort and spa.
The actress spoke up to OK! magazine about the difficulties of being an “army wife” as she called it.
She explained that things were going great, but unexpected things happened.

“It’s been really good.
“Well, I say that, but we got married and then two days later Scott was sent away for two weeks and we weren’t expecting that!”
The former Coronation Street actress explained that the experience was “a bit grim” but that it was just “part” of it.
She added: “I felt like on the honeymoon I could properly celebrate being Mrs Ratcliff.”
Scott, explaining why he had to leave his wife alone, said that he had to do “three terms per year at Sandhurst.”
He also said that he has to go away “every term” for two weeks to run an overseas training exercise.
The Major went on, saying: “I’m in a job now where it gives us a bit more stability.
“On honeymoon it felt like we could appreciate the fact we’re husband and wife.
“It was a wonderful feeling.”
The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in the Caribbean but are now home.
They said that they wished they were back, soaking up the sun.
Kym announced yesterday that she will be back to the Morning Live sofa as some point in the future.
She’ll be back to co-host the BBC show with Gethin Jones.
Her role as a presenter on the show was her first after leaving Coronation Street in 2019.
She explained that the reason for her absence since she left the show in July 2021 is due to “anxiety attacks.”
She told viewers: “I’ve suffered with anxiety attacks in the past and they’ve come back with a vengeance.”
