Yahya Abdul-Mateen II paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday night (December 10) and dished about finding out his character’s surprising arc in Damon Lindelof‘s Watchmen on HBO!
WARNING: Interview contains spoilers! “I had no idea,” the 33-year-old actor told Jimmy. “No one told me I was going to be naked on the show.”
“I thought it was HBO so maybe I’d get lucky or something like that,” Yahya continued. “I definitely shot the pilot and it was somewhere in-between the second episode and the third episode. I was building up Cal to be someone that people could fall in love with it.”
Yahya also talked about his name, changing his career path from architecture to acting, taking his family along on the journey, and the season finale Watchmen, which airs this Sunday (December 15) on HBO.
