A New 'South Park' TV Movie Is Coming This June

Paramount+ on Wednesday announced that a new South Park television film will premiere on its platform on Wednesday, June 1.

Dubbed The Streaming Wars, the film will mark the third entry of 14 planned South Park TV movie events, following Post Covid and Post Covid: Covid Returns, which premiered in November and December of last year, respectively. The lineup of films will arrive as part of the series creators Trey Park and Matt Stone’s deal with ViacomCBS, which also extended South Park‘s residency on Comedy Central through 2027.

According to an official description for the upcoming film, “Cartman locks horns with his mom in a battle of wills, while an epic conflict unfolds and threatens South Park’s very existence.” Parker and Stone are executive producers on The Streaming Wars alongside Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II, while Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell and Vernon Chatman are producing.

Aside from announcing the third movie, Paramount+ also revealed that the fourth South Park film will arrive later this summer.

South Park recently celebrated its 25th season earlier this year, when the sitcom returned to Comedy Central with weekly episodes for the first time since 2019. The latest season included six episodes.
