With the announcement of Cat Burns as Clarks’ newest brand ambassador, the British singer fronts the latest campaign for its iconic Torhill shoe.
Merging two of the shoe brand’s signature models — the Wallabee and the ‘90s Big Gripper — this season’s brand-new colorways include Cobalt Blue and Cow Print as well as classic Sand and Black Suede.
Speaking on her love for the brand, Burns praises the silhouette’s versatility as one of its key features of the shoe. “My sense of style is really important to me and a true form of expression,” she explains. “I’ve always connected with gender-neutral clothes, and I think that’s why I love Clarks so much – they have that everyday comfort feel but with an iconic vibe. They’ve always been a staple in my wardrobe and out on tour.”
As well as the new FW23 iterations, the heritage shoe brand has teamed up with Eastpak to reimagine the silhouette. Sharing a mutual legacy in durable craftsmanship, Eastpak draws upon its history of manufacturing military-issue bags for the US Army to apply utilitarian design updates to the Torhill.
The collaborative iteration features Eastpak’s weatherproof canvas on the upper with the model’s signature Strobel construction. It boasts a molded, removable leather Contour Cushion footbed and a chunky thermoplastic rubber outsole – for added comfort and lightweight durability. The design is rounded off with Eastpak’s trademark zipper, carry tag – as seen on its bags — and a woven patch on the heel.
Arriving in two colorways — black and red — the Eastpak x Clarks Torhill and FW23 colorways are available to purchase online and in select stores now. Alternatively, for Hypebeast Flea visitors, Clarks will be hosting its own stall that will be showcasing the new collections.
Tickets for Hypebeast Flea this September 9-10 are fully sold out. If you’ve already got a ticket, arrive early to avoid disappointment.
