When the Princess of Wales is attached to an event, you can ensure all eyes will be on her (and whatever vibrant and showstopping ensemble she chooses to rock). And the Trooping the Colour ceremony is no different!
For those that don’t know, the Trooping of Colour is a military ceremony that’s been a staple of the family since the 1800s. It is usually used to mark the sovereign’s birthday, and this year: it’s celebrating King Charles III’s (along with his first Trooping the Colour as King)!
Along with the spectacle and grandiose events during this ceremony, everyone adores seeing the sleek and vibrant looks the royals don on the big day — especially Kate Middleton! Ever since her debut in 2011, she’s wowed in some chic, colorful looks that instantly become fan favorites.
For a long time, people could guess what she’d wear on the big day: something custom that’s colorful or pastel from one of her go-to brands Alexander McQueen. However, she decided to shake things up in 2023.
For 2023, she wowed in a designer that she’s never worn before for the big day, along with a brand new color for her and it wasn’t bespoke! For her debut as Princess of Wales, Kate is going all out with the fashion 180.
From her Barbiecore ensembles to the silky dress everyone forgot about, Kate has rocked quite a few unique looks for Trooping the Colour.
Check out every single look Kate has worn to the Trooping of Colour ceremony since her debut in 2011 below:
