In the three seasons that Michael Jordan played for the University of North Carolina, he managed to showcase his versatile and extremely athletic abilities on the basketball floor and racked up 1788 points, 181 assists, 169 steals and more. And since he’ll forever be a huge part of the Tar Heel family, Jordan Brand will often cook up footwear colorways that are inspired by his alma mater; the next being this Air Jordan 6 “UNC” variation that has just emerged by way of detailed imagery.
For the Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette, Jordan Brand presents this number with the school’s primary colors. Dripping over the tongues, satin throat overlays and the perforated nubuck underlays is a “University Blue” tone while the laces and leather paneling that surrounds it will are covered in white. Stark black accents are also found atop the spoilers, lace toggles and throat. Additionally, a Jordan badge is affixed to the lower heel. Midsoles come prepared with white and black molds while an icy, translucent outsole completes its collegiate aesthetic.
While Nike hasn’t confirmed any official info yet, early reports have these dropping on March 5, 2022 just in time for the NCAA March Madness tournament.
