Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will perform during halftime at Super Bowl LIV on Feb. 2, 2020, instantly returning the storied sports and pop-culture institution to its former glory.
The announcement was made official on Twitter late Thursday, with a series of tweets from Lopez, Shakira, and halftime sponsor Pepsi.
Because they’re crafty like that, Shakira’s tweet featured a shot of Lopez, and Lopez’s tweeted featured a shot of Shakira.
The announcement is welcome news for anyone who still bothers to remember the last two Super Bowl halftime shows, in which Maroon 5 (with Travis Scott and Big Boi), and Justin Timberlake — let’s just say it was far from their finest hours.
