These days, the footwear industry is essentially an all-out foot race on who can not only create the innovative products, but align with the right partners and generate striking collaborations. One brand that’s doing exactly that is New Balance, and this Summer, it’s revisiting its partnership with Levi’s for a three-piece collection that involves a New Balance 992, a Trucker Jacket and a 501 Jean. The range celebrates the art and beauty behind vintage clothing and is crafted under the upcycled Levi’s Authorized Vintage program — meaning that each piece a one-of-one.
The main attraction of this assortment is the New Balance 992. From a bird’s eye view, it may just look like the Boston imprint’s signature inline gray colorway given its neutral-heavy upper, but it bears a patchwork suede arrangement that allows it to stand on its own. Reflective Levi’s red tabs are embedded into the side “N” logos while “Levi’s for feet” logos adorn the insoles.
On the apparel side, the Levi’s 501 and Trucker Jacket and Denim follow the same design cadence. Various shades of gray are arranged in a contrasted and patchwork fashion.
You can find a detailed look at the products up above and expect the collection to drop on August through the Levi’s app and New Balance on August 6. Prices are as follows for the pieces: 992s will cost $280 USD, the jacket will retail for $400 USD and the jeans are priced at $320 USD.
In case you missed it, a Levi’s x New Balance 990v3 is also expected to drop later down the road.
