Madonna 'vomiting uncontrollably' and 'too sick to leave bed' after coming home

Madonna is reportedly vomiting uncontrollably and still too sick to leave her bed, despite returning home from hospital and reports indicating that she was ‘feeling better’.

The Material Girl hitmaker, 64, was rushed to hospital and faced a stay in intensive care due to a serious bacterial infection.

The US star’s hospitalisation was announced on Wednesday (June 28) as a statement confirmed that her 40th-anniversary tour was also being paused.

She had initially been found unresponsive and her family were left fearing ‘the worst’.

On Thursday it was claimed she was ‘in the clear’ and taken back to her New York home in a private ambulance.

However, a new update on her condition has been shared, with claims she is ‘vomiting uncontrollably’.

A source claimed she was ‘still bedridden’ with those around her thinking ‘she’s in no shape to kick off her world tour’.

The insiders added to TMZ: ‘Madonna’s been vomiting uncontrollably since being discharged from the hospital, and the infection is still wreaking havoc on her body.’

They claimed she was ‘still too sick to get out of her bed’.

It’s thought that her daughter Lourdes Leon, 26, has been by her side throughout the ordeal.

A family friend of the global superstar previously revealed how her relatives ‘prepared for the worst’ following the horrific ordeal as ‘everybody believed that they may lose her.’

‘For the past couple of days, no one really knew which direction this was going to turn, and her family was preparing for the worst,’ they shared.

‘That is why it was kept a secret since Saturday. Everyone believed that we may lose her, and that has been the reality of the situation,’ they added to Mail Online.

Her manager initially said in a social media message: ‘On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several-day stay in the ICU.

‘Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.

‘At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.

‘We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.’

Her tour was set to start on Saturday, July 15, visiting arenas across America before coming to Europe and the UK later this year.
