NEEDLES' Wrangler Japan Collaboration Exudes Vintage Aura

NEEDLES‘ collaborations come at an impressive clip, ranging from its recent partnership with Paperboy and BEAMS to the exclusive suits it granted STUDIOUS. The NEPENTHES family member’s latest joint effort is now here, realized in partnership with the Japanese, Edwin-owned branch of Wrangler.

Appropriately, the special collection is informed by NEEDLES’ retro taste, yielding a four-piece range in two distinct styles. On one hand, the denim jacket, Western shirt, boot-cut jeans and slim jeans are offered in stark, unwashed indigo; on the other, they’re washed and treated so as to create a stark vintage-style finish. Either way, the collection is rich with thoughtful touches: the jacket and shirt each draw from Wrangler’s lengthy history, for instance, as they update the 11MJ Proto Model jacket and 27MW shirt, respectively.

The denim pants, meanwhile, are both based on the same vintage makeup despite the distinct cuts that inform each. Both feature Wrangler’s signature “W” stitch on the rear pockets (mirroring the jacket and shirt) and creases down the center legs, with an extra-deep watch pocket in the right-hand pocket for authentic flair.

Look for the exclusive denim garments to hit Wrangler Japan’s web store andNEPENTHES’ website on February 20.

Most recently, NEEDLES introduced its forthcoming Fall/Winter 2021 offering.
