New Nike Air Max 95 Features the Vibrant Street Signs of Japan

The Nike Air Max 95 Japan pays homage to the impressive advertising synonymous with the local areas throughout the country. Packed in a collage of details, the Air Max 95‘s entire upper is covered with colorful retro signage and TPU overlays. A similar print is found wrapping around the sides as well as the tongue, to further add to the busyness of the shoe. The overwhelming amount of overlapping print is a nod to the hustling and bustling city of Japan, where streets are filled with copious amounts of bright ads and flashing lights.

To contrast the clutter, black leather trim is used on the toe cap and can also be seen on the rubber outsole and lining. The shoe also features midsoles speckled with neon orange and yellow Volt Air units and white eyelets constructed with 3M reflective material. To match, the Air Max branding is visible in neon yellow and orange on the tongue and insoles. To round it out, a mini orange Swoosh is placed on the lateral ankle, complete with white laces to tie it all together. Looking closely, Air Max Day details can be seen on the medial side, commemorated with “3/26”.

No additional release information is currently available but the shoe is expected to launch in the coming months.

In case you missed it, Nike is bringing back 2001s Air Force 1 B “3M Snake”.
