New Balance‘s 920 is a hybrid silhouette, a made-in-the-UK style that combines a stripped-back mesh upper with the midsole and outsole of the famous 990v3. Now, it’s leaning even further into its hybrid homage ethos by taking on a white, yellow and blue palette that seems to be a nod to the 850‘s original launch colorway.
White mesh-and-leather uppers are accented with a wide swath of colorful overlays. These include sport blue on the forefoot and towards the collar, a navy strike that runs through the quarter and crosses paths with a signature silver N logo plus touches of yellow around the quarter and collar and much more. “920” hits are embroidered on each heel, and white tongues offer a Michigan Wolverines-like blend of maize and navy on their “Made In England” embroidery. Down below, white and gray ENCAP midsoles with snappy, responsive midfoot plates provide signature cushioning while black outsoles round off the look.
The New Balance 920 in white, yellow and blue is available now via New Balance Japan. Its MSRP is set at ¥30,800 JPY (approximately $280 USD), inclusive of tax.
