Adorable moments where Princess Charlotte and Kate Middleton twinned

A Royal mini-me! All the times Princess Charlotte and Kate Middleton wore twinning outfits

Princess Charlotte may be just six years old, but these photos show she is a little style icon in the making – just like her mom. From the day she was born to stealing the show during official tours and her cheeky appearances on the balcony at Buckingham Palace, here are all the times the sassiest young Royal twinned with mom Kate.

BIRTH OF A PRINCESS: On the day she was born on May 2, 2015, Princess Charlotte was unveiled to the public wearing a lemon bonnet, which matched Kate’s yellow-and-white dress. That was just the start of the mother and daughter’s Royal ‘twinning’.

ROYAL CHRISTENING: At Charlotte’s christening two months later in July 2015, Kate wore a white dress and fascinator, which perfectly matched the traditional robes worn by her baby daughter.

FIRST FAMILY HOLIDAY: In one of their first official family photographs together, Princess Charlotte looked just like Kate in their white ski outfits as they enjoyed a holiday in the French Alps in March 2016.

FIRST TROOPING THE COLOUR: A month after her first birthday, Princess Charlotte looked pretty in pink in a smock dress that matched Kate’s hat as she attended her first Trooping the Colour ceremony to mark her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II’s, annual birthday celebrations – and she has already nailed her Royal wave.

CHRISTMAS DAY CHURCH SERVICE: A cheeky-looking Charlotte stole the show in Kate’s arms as they attended the Royal’s Christmas Day church service in December 2016. This time, Kate went for a matching burgundy look.

FIRST ROYAL TOUR: On her first overseas tour, Charlotte and her older brother, Prince George, stole the show during an eight-day visit to Canada in September 2016. Here she is with Kate wearing matching blue dress, while Charlotte also has a cute bow in her hair.

FIRST-TIME BRIDESMAID: On her debut into bridesmaid duties, 2-year-old Charlotte wore a white and soft pink outfit to match Kate’s dress at aunt Pippa Middleton’s wedding to James Matthews in May 2017.

For obvious reasons, Kate couldn’t wear white to her sister Pippa’s wedding, but she perfectly matched her dress and fascinator to Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress sash.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE BALCONY STYLE: A grinning Charlotte is again a mini-me of mom Kate as they both wear pink dresses at the Trooping the Colour ceremony in June 2017. In another twinning moment, Charlotte’s shoes also match older brother Prince George’s braces.

TRIP TO GERMANY: On another overseas tour, this time to Germany in July 2017, Princess Charlotte looked adorable in a blue floral ensemble – with the bow in her hair matching the exact blue of Kate’s dress coat.

SUMMER COLORS: On the same trip, the mother-and-daughter duo were matching again in pink and lilac. Charlotte also appeared to be wearing the same dress she wore to Trooping the Colour earlier that year – a nod to eco-conscious Kate, who often recycles her own outfits.

HARRY AND MEGHAN’S WEDDING: Princess Charlotte was again on bridesmaid duties at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May 2018. The young Royal and her mother were perfectly styled in white, and they donned matching floral headpieces.

BABY BLUE: Here, the mother and daughter look a picture in pastel blue as they watch the Royal flypast at Buckingham Palace for Queen Elizabeth’s birthday during the 2018 Trooping the Colour celebrations.

CHRISTMAS DAY 2019: Looking very grown-up, Princess Charlotte is the spitting image of her glamorous mom, Kate, as she attends the Royals Christmas Day service in December 2019. They are wearing different colored coats, but Kate still matches her fascinator, shoes and bag to Charlotte’s dark green coat.

CLAPPING FOR CARERS: In this family shot to honor Britain’s NHS workers, Charlotte is wearing a blue floral dress just like Kate. The Ghost dress that was worn by the Duchess of Cambridge sold out shortly after this photo was taken. Perhaps it’s only a matter of time before Princess Charlotte’s outfits start selling out too..

MATCHING BOOTS: Although it may be a little difficult to see in this photo still, Princess Charlotte appeared just as stylish as her mother in a video released by Kensington Palace in 2021 that offered a viewers a glimpse into the Cambridge family’s life. Charlotte is seen in one of the shots wearing a pair of Penelope Chilvers boots, similar to a pair owned and worn by the duchess for the last 17 years.

DARK CHRISTMAS ENSEMBLES: The Duchess of Cambridge beamed alongside her mini-me as they left Magdalene Church in Sandringham on December 25, 2021. Both Royal Family members donned black ensembles, with Kate adding a stylish black hat to her picture-perfect look.
