The chief concierge at London’s exclusive Rosewood Hotel has revealed the most extravagant request she’s ever received from a guest.
Judith van Der Heijden, Chief Concierge at one of London’s most luxurious hotels in Covent Garden, shared all in a quick-fire video featured on TikTok by AJX media.
The five-star hotel, which is known for welcoming royalty from across the globe, starts at £825 per night for the most basic room.
But the hotel is far from basic, and Judith’s recollection of her wildest ever request proves just that.
During the clip, she recalled how, at 8am on a Sunday, Judith received a phone call requesting the hotel to fill a guest’s private jet with a full menu from the Japanese restaurant Nobu, set for departure just four hours later.

‘Have you ever tried to get the head chef of Nobu out of his bed on a Sunday morning at 8am?,’ Judith remarked.
But despite the extortionate request, Judith successfully fulfilled the guest’s needs.
She said: ‘[At] ten past 12 we delivered a full menu of Nobu into a private jet in Luton Airport.’
Judith explained that a great concierge must be ‘unapologetically curious’ with ‘unlimited imagination’, in achieving such extreme requests.
The elegant hotel, which has previously hosted parties for the Prince and Princess of Wales, is known as a capital city sanctuary.
Judith remarked that while staying at the Rosewood, the concierge is ‘basically your best friend while you travel.’
She continued to explain how her job can transform a trip to the England’s capital. For example, if a guest sought to visit a tourist attract, such as a museum, she could add to the experience by arranging a private viewing after hours with candles and a violin player.
‘Top experiences are the ones that you can’t find anywhere else,’ she added.
Judith told viewers that ‘there’s nothing actually more beautiful than having being part of a journey of a guest’
Despite having to undertake far-fetched requests, Judith remains positive about her role.
‘There’s nothing actually more beautiful than having been a part of a journey of a guest who’s forever grateful for the experiences that you delivered.’
When asked to give a top tip for individuals who are aspiring to become a hotel concierge Judith said: ‘Honestly, just be absolutely yourself.
‘There is nothing more beautiful than a concierge that traits out their own personality.’
Viewers took the comment section to share their thoughts on the video, and many were impressed with Judith
But for Judith, the top secret to being the top concierge is: ‘The way we make ouR guests feel. It’s all about those personal touches and getting to know each other.
‘It’s about being one step ahead always and relationship hospitality is the most important part of service.’
Users flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts on Judith’s role at Rosewood. One said: ‘Oh this is what I live for! Bravissima.’
A second added: ‘Best hotel in London.’
Another remarked: ‘You’re creating memories!’
