A foodie posted a delicious recipe for home made Big Mac sauce on Reddit this week – causing thousands to drool at the sight.
Sharing a snap of his extra juicy burger, u/yungbull94 captioned the snap: “Wagyu beef Big Macs.”
In the image, a towering burger with two beef patties and sesame seed bun can be seen overflowing with lettuce, cheese and Big Mac sauce.
He added some curly fries on the side to complete the indulgent meal.
And, over 5,000 fans on the r/food subreddit liked the post, with plenty asking questions about the recipe.
I mean, who wouldn’t? Look at it!
But, the main ask was about how he made the “special sauce” which looks just like McDonald’s Big Mac sauce.
One commenter wrote: “Wait a minute wait wait wait. You made the Big Mac sauce?! Homemade?!?!!”
The poster replied: “I found a copycat recipe online that was dead on.
“I had basically everything I needed to make the sauce so it wasn’t too bad.
“Just had to get relish which my girlfriend convinced me she would use on hot dogs sometime which I’ll believe when I see it.”
He said that the sauce was made from a mix of “French dressing, sweet relish, yellow mustard, ketchup, mayo, and onion salt.”
Foodies asked for the exact measurements which he was happy to supply.
The cook said: “I used the following which was exactly enough for two burgers.
“1/2 cup mayo, 2 tablespoons French Dressing, 1 heaping tablespoon sweet relish, 3 teaspoons dill pickle juice, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon ketchup, dash of salt”.
Pickle juice is the briny liquid you find in a jar of gherkins or sweet pickled cucumbers.
Try to find ones pickled with dill for an authentic American taste.
People were obsessed with the mega burger.
