A fitness influencer shares photos of her body taken seconds apart to give a ‘realistic’ idea about how your figure fluctuates.
Lizzy High, 21, who lives in London, has racked up over 55,000 followers on Instagram, where she shares body positive messages as well as diet and exercise advice.
The 21-year-old also shares before and after shots taken moments apart to illustrate how posing, lighting and how recently you have eaten can all make your body look dramatically different.
The social media star champions a balanced lifestyle and says she eats healthily 80 per cent of the time – then enjoys food like chocolate and burgers.
‘What I always preach with my clients is to get real results then they have to make ‘healthy habits, not restrictions’,’ she told FEMAIL.
‘Where 80 per cent of the time they are fueling themselves with loads of nutritious foods and then the other 20 per cent of the time you eat the chocolate. No more fad diets, no more quick fixes, just sustainable changes, for sustainable results.’

Lizzy, who has overcome an eating disorder, explained that she used to be influenced by the body trends championed on social media but that she now focuses on sustainable changes.
Lizzy said: ‘I think that cycle needs to be broken. For someone like me, who has struggled with body image, it does amplify those negative feelings about yourself.’
Speaking to Femail, she added: ‘I created my Instagram account @Liz.bitesback two years ago to help myself and at least one other person. Since then, I have overcome an eating disorder and got to the best place mentally and physically.
‘As I progressed as an individual, my account also did and that is when I realised this is so much more than just wanting to help myself and other people achieve their fitness goals, but I decided I wanted to help people transform their life.’
The influencer said her fellow social media stars are paid to promote quick fixes and fad diets to their large followings.
However, low calorie diets only provide temporary results as people are likely to gain weight and people ultimately end up more disappointed.
The influencer always encourages followers to have a ‘realistic’ view of how bodies look at different times of day and shares photos like the ones above to illustrate the point
Lizzy said it is possible to eat what you want and still achieve a toned, healthy diet, so long as it is done in moderation and in a sustainable way
Lizzy said: ‘For the majority of us, we are told to chase unrealistic expectations and go to extremes to get the results we want. However, I am trying to revolutionise that.
‘As someone who used to suffer with an eating disorder, I have first hand experienced the negative effects of quick fixes, and FAD diets heavily endorsed by the majority of influencers.
‘I decided I have had enough. I want to help people stop restricting and start living. I want to show people you can get the body you want without any restrictions at all which goes against most health and fitness norms. So I have been doing just that.
‘I strongly promote and encourage women on my Instagram and in Bite Back With Liz online coaching to achieve realistic results without any restrictions rather than following what most ‘influencers’ promise.
‘I know some people are doubtful of my beliefs as I often get people ask: ‘How the hell can you eat burgers and still lose weight?’. I am aware people are hesitant about my approach and what I promote as, we have been conditioned to believe quick fixes, celebrity beach body diets work.
Lizzy has shown how her body can change within seconds of eating certain foods, as well as a comparison from 2021 (pictured left) and 2022 (pictured right)
‘Those diets look great. People lose weight quickly but, by the end of it they are miserable, they have ruined their relationship with food, then they gain twice as much weight back afterwards, which is just making the problem worse.
‘I know from the bottom of my heart that sustainable changes for sustainable results is what people really need and I know deep down they want it too because it is catching people’s attention with some of my posts having reached over 4 million people.’
Lizzy also shares photos of her body taken seconds apart, revealing how the appearance of a toned stomach or six-pack can be down to something as simple as posing, lighting, and the food eaten that day.
Lizzy urged her followers not to compare themselves to others in the caption of a recent post, saying: ‘I have said it before but, I am going to say it again.
Posting on Instagram, Lizzy has urged her followers not to compare their body to others but to focus on appreciating everything it does
‘I do not have a flat stomach all the time. I do not walk around with a ‘toned stomach’ 24/7. No one does.
‘The way your body looks will change in different lighting, poses, angles and that’s okay! Rather than hating on your body, take a second to appreciate your body and everything it does for you.
‘Because every single second your body is doing something to keep you alive. So stop with the self sabotage and stop comparing yourself to others because you are bloody amazing at all times even if you don’t see it just yet.’
One person commented: ‘I am so on board with this. I love how you show us the reality.’
Another wrote: ‘Yes as long as you’re feeling happy and good and full that’s all that matters’.
‘Always make me feel more comfortable in my own skin. Keep it up. It’s really appreciated,’ a third said.
Many of Lizzy’s followers have commented to show appreciation for her posts, with some saying she helps them to feel more comfortable with their own body
