The Poachers arms, based in the Hope Valley, in Derbyshire, was a working pub for over 20 years, but is now available for rent and has nine bedrooms and sleeps up to thirty people.
The converted pub, which is currently available for holiday stays on Skyes Cottages, has a large modern kitchen, a conservatory with a large dining room and two large sitting rooms.
However, it also still has its original bar, which is in full working order – so you can can take turns pouring yourself a pint or mixing cocktails behind the bar.

However, modern adaptations to the pub and property include Smart TV’s and and games consoles – to help entertain the children and also fibre broadband throughout the cottage.

The children’s playground is also similar to what you’d find in a pub today – with swings, a slide and climbing wall. However you’ll also find a barbecue and a hot tub outside.
Behind the bar they’ve renovated the property – so you’ll find a large modern kitchen with all the latest gadgets and even a breakfast bar with leather stools.
While the conservatory serves as a large dining room with adequate seating for everyone to all sit together around one large table. However, it could also be used for meetings and team away days.

The pub also has a games area, which you would find in any good country pub, with a selection of table games, books and table football
There are nine double en-suite bedrooms, two of which have added bunk beds so they sleep a total of six people in one room and four in another, all of which are equipped with their own TV with Freeview.
Eight of these rooms are all on the first floor, with the ninth being situated on the ground floor. While three bed settees sleep another six guests.
Outside is a large enclosed and safe gravelled area with a paved patio and covered hot tub, a charcoal barbecue and plenty of outdoor seating for groups to relax and drink. While there is also a secure lockable steel shed for any bikes and outdoor equipment.

Based in the the village of Hope, once you get bored of being the landlord you can go to a real pub in the village – where they has a selection of traditional pubs serving food, cafés and small unique shops.
If you want to go further afield just over a mile away is the village of Castleton with its Norman Castle, numerous caves to explore and the imposing Winnats Pass.
