HipDot launches ‘SpongeBob Squarepants’ cosmetics collection

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of “SpongeBob SquarePants,” makeup brand HipDot has created a special cosmetics collection that fans will love.

The limited-edition Hip Dot x Spongebob collection is the brand’s first major collaboration, and it has four core products.

There is an eyeshadow palette, lip gloss set, a blush/bronzer duo, and face mask ranging from $18 – $36.

“In addition to SpongeBob’s massive reach — our research found that he was mentioned every four seconds on social media, as well as a digital fan base of more than 120 million people (two thirds of which are over the age of 18!)” said Samantha Lim, co-founder and chief creative officer of HipDot Studios, in a statement. “SpongeBob’s enduring relevance in pop culture is evident everywhere you look: from being the king of memes to the KAWS painting that recently sold for $6 million to Travis Scott featuring him in the Super Bowl.”

“We are proud to be the first cosmetics partner to everyone’s favorite optimistic sea sponge,” she continued.

A video was posted on Instagram showing how the new collection works in real-time.

“Mayonnaise may not be an instrument, Patrick, but makeup certainly can be,” the brand wrote in a caption.
