Tomorrow England will enter its second national lockdown, but there’s still some confusion around the rules.
While pubs, restaurants and bars will close like they did in March, some shops will remain open this time.
The government has stated that “essential” stores such as food shops, supermarkets, garden centres and corner shops may remain open.
However, this has left Brits confused about shops like B&M, Home Bargains and The Range who sell food as well as home and garden products.
So, will your favourite shops remain open?

Here’s the latest updates for people in England during the second lockdown:
B&M
The stores bosses posted an update for customers on Facebook which said that they would remain open this time around.
The post said: "As an essential retailer and on Government advice we remained open in the first lockdown.
"B&M was proud to serve our communities and we will be doing so again. Our colleagues are working tirelessly to make sure you can get all of the items you need.
"So there's no need to panic buy – our warehouses are full and we are working super hard to keep stock flowing into stores."
Home Bargains
The beloved Home Bargains shop will stay open in the second lockdown as it did in March.
Alongside “non essential” goods the shop sells essential products like food and medicine.

Argos
From Thursday, all Argos stores will shut in England, but will be allowed to offer clock and collect services.
B&Q
On the website of B&Q, a statement reads: “As an essential retailer our stores in areas where there is a local lockdown will remain open.
To reduce the risk of transmission, in line with Government guidance, we have implemented comprehensive controls and strict social distancing measures in all of our stores.
"All stores have a designated queuing area outside and these have markers every two metres to help remind everyone to respect each other’s personal space.
To further support social distancing, stores have two metre floor markers throughout as well as other point of sale, and perspex screens have been installed at the checkouts.
"We also have hand sanitiser stations to ensure trolleys are good to go. Colleagues are on hand to remind everyone to stay safe and follow these guidelines."
Wilko
Wilko will remain open throughout the lockdown as they sell essentials like medicine.
So it seems if you’re looking to do some DIY then you’re in luck.
