How Stacey Solomon added £150k to her £1m house price with clever hacks and makeovers

Stacey Solomon loves a good home hack especially when it comes to transforming her home on a budget.

And the Loose Women star has shared some impressive makeovers since she bought the £1m property in 2018, that she's not spent an arm and a leg on, which has helped her add a whopping £150,000 in value on to her Chelmsford, Essex home.

Stacey shares her home with partner Joe Swash, their son Rex, and her two children Zachary, 12, and Leighton, eight, and notably does a lot of the DIY herself.

The couple's Essex pad has undergone many transformations since moving in a couple of years ago, with Stacey often sharing her home improvement hacks with her millions of Instagram followers clamouring to copy her style.

In the past year Stacey has completed a kitchen conversion, installed a completely pink utility room and landscaped the garden complete with a gorgeous fire pit.

Her home improvement hacks she's now so famous for have had a serious effect on her property value.

According to estate agent expert, Paul Gibbens from Housebuyers4u he stated that a kitchen is one of the most worthwhile improvements to make to increase value of the home, which can increase from anywhere between five and 15 per cent.

The former I'm A Celeb star's newly landscaped garden complete with firepit also adds additional value to her home, providing a tidy return on investment for the approximate £33,500 she has most likely spent on her renovations.

Stacey's pink utility room she detailed didn't cost much at all, but adds a unique and chic extra to her stylish home, with the fake pink flowers, pink washing baskets, and pink cabinets.

It's these cost-effective DIY hacks that have turned Stacey's home into a chic and stylish home for her family, and helped increase the property value to far more than what she would've spent on the improvements.

The mum-of-three revealed her pink laundry room back in July after being given permission by Joe to choose the colour: “So here she is. The pink room. Hopefully now I’ll actually do my washing. why am I nervous?” [sic]

Stacey admitted she wanted to inject some pink into her “house full of boys.”

And despite the room being very aesthetically pleasing, Stacey admitted to being “nervous” over the response she’d get after sharing her interior creation.

Stacey continued: “I love it and I’m so proud of it and I had so much fun doing it – if youre not having fun then whats it all for? [sic]
